APS provides an on time and accurate resident billing service to apartment communities throughout the U.S. As an owner or managing agent, you are vulnerable to short and long term spikes in utility costs. In most markets, utility allocation has become the norm.
Our billing solutions enable you to transfer these costs of water, sewer, gas and other utilities to the residents in a fair and equitable manner. We assign utility charges to each apartment based on actual usage as measured by submetering or estimated usage through RUBS. Ratio Utility Billing System (RUBS) charges are prepared allocating a portion of the community’s entire bill to a single apartment unit based on the size, number of occupants, and/or a combination of these factors. Then we download all other unit charges for the month, including rent, trash, and pet fees, etc. through electronic interfaces with leading property management software providers.
Total monthly charges are combined onto one resident invoice. APS mails the invoice to each resident every month like clockwork. It’s all there at a glance: itemized detail and total balance due. Residents can also get a copy of their bill online.

By entering the "vacant" utility bills, our system will search to see if the units were occupied and will print and send a bill to the resident when appropriate.

We offer payment processing as an additional service to our customers. This takes a lot of stress and time-consuming work off of your staff. We collect all of the payments and write a check to you for the total collected every month.
With payment processing, your residents mail the payment to us, make payments online for automatic processing, or pay on-site with managers scanning the check and converting it to an electronic payment. Processing time is greatly diminished and processing costs are reduced by up to 80%.
Residents can manage their accounts and make payments as well as sign up for electronic billing alerts. Web-based Billing and Payment Services, E-Bill and E-Pay, are standard services offered to residents so that they can receive an electronic copy of their monthly bills. Your residents will receive their statement sooner, which can mean faster recovery for you!
Payment data is consolidated and integrated. Management is supplied with detailed accounting reports on a monthly basis that can be mailed, posted on our web site or both. Payment Processing Reports, Inactive Reports, and Accounts Receivable Status Reports are all supplied on a monthly basis.

We send one of our project managers out to your site to do a detailed site survey before we begin anything. This is done to ensure that you are getting the exact equipment and setup that you need in order for an accurate billing to take place.
After the installation is complete, our technicians communicate closely with our setup department to make sure the handoff is a smooth process. Good communication between the installation and billing departments is a key in any setup. It has to be done properly or the billing will never be accurate. We review the installation information and data thoroughly to ensure that the project is 100% complete and ready to bill. Only then do we pass the project on to our billing department. At that point, your billing analyst takes over the project permanently.
We utilize wireless technology, helping ensure the least obtrusive installation and enabling remote meter reads eliminating the need to enter apartments.
